Compared to last week light weight steers less than 500 lbs sold 20.00 lower, 500 to 650 lbs sold 6.00 to 10.00 lower and over 650 lbs sold steady to 4.00 higher on a light test of the market. Heifers sold unevenly steady to 3.00 higher on some lots. Slaughter and feeding cows sold steady to 4.00 higher and bulls sold steady. Demand was moderate to good throughout the week. Few bred cows hitting the market as dry conditions and high hay cost continues. Some ranchers are selling down on a few more numbers of bred cows going into winter.
