How to Store Brussels Sprouts
Brussels sprouts keep best when very cold and moist, especially if left on the stalk until storage. Harvested loose sprouts still store well if handled gently.

Best storage conditions
Store at 32 to 36 F with high humidity, around 95 percent. Keep them dark in the refrigerator or cold cellar.
How long it keeps
Loose sprouts usually keep about 3 to 5 weeks. Sprouts on the stalk may last a bit longer under good conditions.
Storage methods
Do not wash before storage. Keep sprouts in a perforated bag or breathable container, and leave them on the stalk if practical for longer storage. Avoid warm room storage, which quickly lowers quality.
Freezing & preserving
Freeze after trimming and blanching. Brussels sprouts can also be pickled. For canning, use only tested USDA or NCHFP recipes, and as a low-acid vegetable they require pressure canning.
Tips
Remove any yellow outer leaves during storage. Keep away from ethylene-producing apples, pears, and tomatoes.
