About White Lady

White Lady is an F1 hybrid turnip that produces smooth, pure-white, round roots with sweet, mild flesh. It is bred for fast growth and a refined, tender texture that resists becoming pithy. The clean white skin and quick maturity make it a good hybrid choice for both spring and fall gardens.

Growing White Lady Turnip

Direct sow in the cool weather of early spring or late summer, thinning to about 2 to 3 inches apart. It is a fast maturer at roughly 35 to 45 days, so stagger plantings for a continuous harvest. Pull roots while still small and tender for the sweetest flavor, and use row cover to guard young plants against flea beetles.
