Tokyo Cross Turnip
A fast, uniform white turnip with sweet, fine-textured roots. It is one of the best choices for gardeners who dislike strong turnip flavor.

About Tokyo Cross
Tokyo Cross is an F1 hybrid turnip and an All-America Selections winner known for producing uniform, smooth, pure-white round roots. It has mild, sweet white flesh and is bred to stay tender and slow to become pithy even as the roots grow larger. Its uniformity and vigor make it a reliable, fast-maturing choice for home gardens.
Growing Tokyo Cross Turnip
Direct sow in spring or late summer for a fall harvest, thinning plants to about 3 inches apart. Roots mature quickly in around 35 to 45 days and hold their quality longer than many turnips, but they are still best eaten while young and tender. Keep watering consistent to prevent cracking and use row cover early to deter flea beetles.
