Planters Jumbo Melon
A classic large-fruited muskmelon with sweet orange flesh and vigorous vines. It performs best where summers are warm and long enough for full ripening.

About Planters Jumbo
Planters Jumbo is a heirloom muskmelon known for large, oval, heavily netted fruit with thick, sweet orange flesh. It is valued for vigor and good tolerance to drought and sunburn, which makes it a reliable producer in hot, dry regions where more tender varieties may struggle.
Growing Planters Jumbo Melon
The large fruit and robust vines need generous room, so space plants about 24 to 36 inches apart with 5 to 6 feet between rows and full sun. Deep, even watering supports the sizeable fruit, but taper off as melons mature to sweeten the flesh. Harvest at full slip when the netting is well raised and corky and the stem parts cleanly from the fruit.
