About Orangeglo
Orangeglo is an open-pollinated variety celebrated for its vivid orange flesh and outstanding, honey-sweet flavor. The oblong fruit has a light green rind with darker green stripes and often weighs 20 to 30 pounds. It is one of the most popular orange-fleshed heirlooms among home gardeners for fresh eating.
Growing Orangeglo Watermelon
Give the vigorous vines full sun and roughly 4 to 6 feet of space, and plan for a long, warm season of about 90 to 95 days. Consistent watering helps the large fruit fill out without cracking. Harvest when the ground spot turns creamy to golden and the curly tendril closest to the melon dries.
