About Lumina
Lumina is a hybrid pumpkin known for its ghostly white rind over bright orange interior flesh, with round fruit of about 8 to 12 pounds. The smooth, pale skin makes it a striking choice for painting, carving, and fall displays, while the sweet orange flesh also cooks well in pies and soups. Its unusual color has made it a popular specialty variety at farm stands.
Growing Lumina Pumpkin
Space the moderately vigorous vines about 3 to 4 feet apart and allow roughly 90 to 110 days to maturity. To keep the white skin clean and bright, set fruit on mulch or boards and avoid prolonged sun exposure, which can yellow the rind.
