Nootka Rose Garlic
A silverskin garlic noted for strong flavor and excellent storage. Bulbs are smaller-cloved than some artichoke types but keep well for months.

About Nootka Rose
Nootka Rose is a silverskin softneck with rosy blush in the wrappers and notably long storage life. The cloves are smaller than those of porcelain types, but the flavor is full and the bulbs keep exceptionally well.
Growing Nootka Rose Garlic
Because it stores so long, harvest and curing are worth doing carefully so the wrappers stay intact. Plant in fall, keep weeds down through spring, and allow extra cure time before storage because dense silverskin bulbs dry more slowly.
For planting dates, care, and harvest that apply to all garlic, see the complete guide.
