About Fuyu

Fuyu is a nonastringent Japanese persimmon with squat, tomato-like orange fruit and sweet, crisp flesh. It can be eaten while firm and is among the most widely grown Asian persimmons.

Growing Fuyu Persimmon

Fuyu can set fruit without pollination, though seeded fruit may result if pollinated. Grow it in full sun in a protected site, and harvest when the fruit is fully orange and colored to the calyx.
