Celebrity is a widely grown hybrid that produces medium to large, smooth red globe fruits on a compact, semi-determinate plant. It is prized for dependable, uniform yields and strong crack resistance, along with broad disease tolerance often labeled VFFNTA (Verticillium, Fusarium, nematodes, tobacco mosaic virus, and Alternaria).
Growing Celebrity Tomato
Even though the plants are compact, they carry a heavy load, so a sturdy cage or short stake keeps fruit off the ground. It sets well across a range of conditions and fits both spring and midsummer plantings. Space plants about 24 to 36 inches apart and harvest when fruits are fully colored but still firm.
