About Better Boy

Better Boy is a vigorous indeterminate hybrid known for large, meaty red slicing tomatoes and a classic balanced tomato flavor. The tall vines produce over a long season and carry good disease tolerance commonly listed as VFN (Verticillium, Fusarium, and nematodes).

Growing Better Boy Tomato

Because the vines grow tall and heavy, give them a large cage or a strong stake with regular tying. Space plants roughly 30 to 36 inches apart to allow airflow, and prune suckers if you want fewer, larger fruits. Pick when the skin is fully red and yields slightly to gentle pressure.
