About Dragon Tongue

Dragon Tongue is a Dutch heirloom wax bean with creamy yellow pods splashed in purple. It can be used young as a snap bean or left a bit longer for shelling, and it has a broad, fleshy texture rather than a thin round pod.

Growing Dragon Tongue Green Bean

Bush plants are compact, but give them enough room for airflow because the pods are carried densely. Pick young for the best snap quality, or let pods mature further if you want fresh shell beans, and expect the purple markings to fade with cooking.
