About LSU Purple
LSU Purple is an LSU-bred fig with medium reddish-purple to dark-purple fruit and light strawberry-colored pulp. It is productive and has good resistance to foliage diseases, but it is less cold-tolerant than Celeste.

LSU Purple is self-fruitful and can begin bearing while still young. In areas with sudden hard freezes, protect it because late fall growth can be injured, and harvest soft fruit promptly through its extended season.
