About Celeste
Celeste is an old, widely grown fig with small to medium brownish-purple fruit and very sweet strawberry-colored pulp. Its closed eye helps reduce splitting and souring in humid climates, and the tree has good cold tolerance.

Celeste is self-fruitful and ripens its main crop in early to midsummer in warm regions. Avoid excessive nitrogen, which can delay ripening, and harvest when the fruit is soft and beginning to droop.
