How to Store Cilantro
Cilantro is a tender herb that keeps only a short time fresh. It stores best when kept cold and moist, with good airflow around the leaves.

Best storage conditions
Store fresh cilantro at 32 to 36 F with high humidity. Keep it out of direct light, either in the refrigerator or briefly at room temperature with stems in water.
How long it keeps
Fresh cilantro usually lasts about 5 to 10 days. Dried or frozen cilantro lasts much longer, though the character changes.
Storage methods
Trim stem ends and place bunches in a jar with a little water, loosely covering the tops, or wrap in a slightly damp towel inside a loose bag. Keep leaves dry enough to avoid slime, and remove any band that crushes stems. Do not seal wet cilantro tightly.
Freezing & preserving
Freeze whole leaves, chopped leaves, or herb cubes in water. Drying is possible but gives a milder result than fresh. For canned herb sauces or mixtures, use tested USDA or NCHFP recipes.
Tips
Change the jar water if using the bouquet method. Remove yellow or slimy stems promptly.
