About Bronze

Bronze is a leaf fennel, not a true bulbing Florence fennel, and is grown for its feathery bronze foliage and aromatic stems and seeds. It is attractive in ornamental beds and herb plantings, with a sweeter, softer look than green fennel.

Growing Bronze Fennel

Give it space because mature plants become airy and broad rather than making a tight edible bulb. Snip foliage young for the best texture, and remove flower heads if you want to delay self-seeding and keep the plant producing fresh leaves longer.
