Hansel Eggplant
A compact All-America Selections winner that sets clusters of slim dark fruit. It is especially useful for patio growing.

About Hansel
Hansel is a compact hybrid that produces abundant slender purple mini eggplants on small plants. The fruit is mild and tender, and the plant habit makes it a practical choice for containers, raised beds, and close spacing.
Growing Hansel Eggplant
Because the plants are compact, they can be spaced more tightly than large-fruited eggplants, but they still need full sun and rich soil. Harvest the fruits young, around finger size to a little longer, to keep them tender and to drive continuous production.
For planting dates, care, and harvest that apply to all eggplant, see the complete guide.
